Re-post from August 2008

WHile scrolling back through my posts, I found this. With the economy's drastic downturn, I thought it was worth posting again. This is from David Jeremiah book "A Bend In The Road" Experiencing God When Your World Caves In.

Sometimes we come to life's crossroads
And we view what we think is the end.
But God has a much wider vision
And He knows that it's only a bend---
The road will go on and get smoother
And after we've stopped for a rest,
The path that lies hidden beyond us
Is often the path that is best.
So rest and relax and grow stronger,
Let go and let God share your load
And have faith in a brighter tomorrow,
You've just come to a bend in the road.

So what do ya think?

Of the new layout and picture? I thought it was time for a change and I wanted to share our newest family photo with everyone. Gotta love the smiles of 10 year old boys.....

Congratulations!

The Albrightson's
He did good, didn't smash the cake in her face!
Courtney and Uncle Robbie

We have been in Eureka Springs since Friday to celebrate Nolan and Penny's wedding. They were married yesterday at the 1886 Crescent Hotel. We are glad to have her join our family, and Ashley too!
And thanks to my mom for going with us. She shared a room with the girls so we didn't have to worry about them at night!

my view from the jump seat!

For those of you that asked, I am posting from my BlackBerry!

guess where i am?

***edited to ad---besides the 2.5 hour 1 way ride, the museum was amazing. Lots of hands on stuff for kids. Aquarium, planes, courtroom, building area, dental area, doctors area, climbing area, bubbles area(my favorite), segway--fun!!, hospital area, grocery store, fire truck and lots more! Super, super time.

Riding in a jump seat of an activity bus driving down the bumpiest road in the world--I-40!

We are going to the Jasmine Moran children's museum in seminole. I told the driver they should charge to ride in this seat. It's like riding a roller coaster but without the heights!

Have you ever thought about what you would do if.....

Your husband lost his job? We are facing that question now. For the past several weeks, Chaparral has had several cut backs. We took a hit to our time for the week, but this weekend they had their first round of layoffs. We WERE NOT laid off, nor were any of his employees. My thought, we might not always be so lucky. Courtney is in a supervisory role, not a field role. Who knows how long they will keep the middle man?

Our greatest concern is his medicines. Without a job, we have no insurance. We are looking at almost $2,000 worth of medication each month! I have already begun looking for a small part time job, or a better full time job. Just in case..

I keep hearing, make it to April and things will turn around. Well, I hope April is as far as we have to go before this market turns around!
